I have an unmodded xbox and I want to be able to play xbox game backups on it. I don't really want to save games on my xbox, just want to run the backup game dvd.
Do I need to install the Auto-Installer Deluxe or the Softmod Installer Deluxe?
I already have Splinter Cell and I plan on using it to exploit the system, which guide should I follow?

I have a couple questions:
1) So does this mean all I need to play back up copies of game dvds is Softmod Installer Deluxe? What's the point of the Auto Installer Deluxe then?
2)I don't have an xbox live account. I do have a copy of Halo 2. How do i update my dashboard without creating a live account?

1. You don't need AID to softmod the xbox. AID just allows you to install apps, emulators and other dashboards after you have used SID to softmod. You might want to get AID so you can get programs like dvd2xbox to copy the games to your hdd so you can ftp them to your computer to back them up.
2. If your xbox is a newer version it should already have the newest dash. If not just start up halo 2 and click xbox live. It will auto update your dash but you won't actually go onto live. _________________
