Check this out: (from another forum talking about GTA san andreas)

i cant get it to start it restarts my box everytime i start it

I think this game requires a patch to run on the hdd. Try looking for the patch here --> http://www.eurasia.nu/index.php

GTA is a funny thing. I know some people who play it off the HDD without any prob, while others require a patch to play.

Can't see what the difference between the two is, I must investigate further.

Ok done and done i got it going again just turnd off the video select and cleard all the saves in the file .

went back and reloaded the saves one by one till the game stoped launching and deleted that one.

good to go , thanx for all the help guys.

bongripz man you had me looking for patches left and right but hay dont know till you try.
