Is there a way to exit back to the dashboard when you are done playing a game that is saved to the hard drive? I hate rebooting everytime.

no, but alot of chips and the softmod use a button sequence on your controller by pushing both triggers and back and start all at the same time...itll do a cold reboot.

It varies from dashboard to dashboard, but normally, one of the following combinations will do a cold reboot and get you back to the dashboard.
L Trigger + R Trigger + Back + Start
L Trigger + R Trigger + Black + Start
It's normally the first one, but the second one is known to work to.

What type of chip are you using, I'm using the Xenium Gold chip, runing XBMC v 2.0, and I have been trying this repeatedly since I got home from work. I posted the same ? a week or so ago and couldn't get an answer, so I was glad to see this and now that I try it, it doesn't work AHHH!! I tried using both a wired and a wireless controller, same result. Any advice will be appreciated.

Maybe try checking the chip manufacture's website. Since your chip a gaurentee it has an IGR (in game reset) option. _________________

Might also be worth checking to see whether you have the IGR enabled as well. Might be stopping it if you don't.

I am using an evox bios, and xbtool to set the options of that bios, is there a different bios and tool that I need to use to enable that option in a bios? All help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Check its enabled in the evox.ini file as well. It'll be a one-line thing, something like:
EnableIGR=True/Yes
Something like that. Just make sure thats on as well as checking the BIOS. Use something like the IND-Bios Config App, which comes included with the Xbox-HQ Essentials Kit.

I still can't get this to work. I looked into the evox.ini file and IGR is enabled. Is it possible that I need to have the .ini file in a location other than or as well as where it is now? I was thinking maybe in my XBMC folder, I don't know, it doesn't even work when I use EVOX as my dashboard. Please, please, please HELP!!!!
