Ok...I bought a v1.2 motherboard with a preinstalled alladin XT chip. I also bought a new 1.2 power supply. I had a old box that was modded but with a bad trace...it was a 1.6. I am getting the holiday lights...box powers on and then off a few times and then goes to flashing red then green. Since I have a 1.6 case I cannot plug in the controller ports to the main board. Also I cannot eject the DVD drive and the network card is not working....cannot get an IP from my router. The dvd drive is know good...is this all caused by the fact that the controller port is not plugged into the board?

Can't really say but, why would you put a V1.2 motherboard and power into a V1.6 case? Why not just buy the whole V1.2 xbox lol? _________________
