Hey all,
I'm just getting started with trying to softmod my Xbox. This is my first time, so there are some things I'm not clear on and some things that I'm stuck on. First off, I'll list the stuff I have:
Hardware:
Splinter Cell (non-platinum)
homemade USB-Xbox connector, so that's a usb stick plugged into a female port which is soldered to the break away portion of an Xbox controller
An Xbox memory card (slides into controller)
Software:
ActionReplay
SID4
Splinter Cell exploits (I think LOL)
So up to this point I have plugged my USB connector into the Xbox, booted it which resulted in it formatting. I then plugged it into the PC and as per a tutorial I changed the values for idVendor and idProduct to match my USB stick and then updated the drivers so it would be compatible with ActionReplay Xbox. Problem is that when I have AR open, it doesn't see my mem card, so I can't transfer the files to it. Any suggestions?
