I just finished installing an Aladdin Advance chip on to my 1.4 ver. Xbox, checked all connections for voltage (on the LPC-bus) and recistance for the other connections, all seemed fine. But when i start my Xbox, no matter how long i hold the power-button, all I get is the normal MS-boot.
The DVD-ROM is a Samsung and the HD is a WD.
The Aladdin has bios installed, according to the store where I bought it.

Do you have a dashboard on your machine other than the normal MS?
What bios is it supposed to be already flashed with?

No, as I tried to explain, the Xbox boots just as if there were no modchip installed. The supplier did not specify which BIOS it is flashed with, but I read on another page that it usually came with cromwell bios. Have not tried with autoinstaller, but i do not think it will work, since the LED is green no matter how long I press the powerbutton.

hey Torreycanon and welcome..
Sounds like you need to flash your MODCHIP with a HACKED BIOS.. Your modchip would have came with the 'CROMWELL BIOS' flashed onto it because it is the only LEGAL BIOS..
CROMWELL only allows your xbox to boot XBOX LINUX.
CROMWELL BIOS will NOT allow you to boot homebrew apps, games or any other backup..
So.. You need to learn how to flash your modchip..
Once its flashed you can then use the XBOXHQ AUTO INSTALLER 1.3f to copy all the required files over..
