just got a new xbox and it has a samsung drive in it came with the forza game. i softmodded my last xbox about 6 months ago before it was stolen and it was pretty simple. now i need help modding this one.i have AR and i am using usb 256mb with the softmod installer exploit from xbins. i have the platinum copy of splinter cell. this is the same copy that i modded my last xbox. do i need to update my dash? eveytime i try to load the linux save and select levels the screen freezes and does nothing. is there a newer easier way to softmod mine help please

hey a bit confusing but i think i got it
1) to update the dash run a game like halo 2 or burnout 3
2) if that Splinter cell version worked on you old xbox do the same procedure you did to mod your previous box meaning the same version of SID aswell
(use the same memory card the same way to get it onto the memorycard and dont forget the same version of SID)
2A) also could it be your loading it off the memory card and not the xbox hard drive???
3) if you are using NTSC use the NTSC SID if you are using PAL use the PAL SID
4) if it is the exact same disc and installer it should work
