Okay i have installede a 40GB hd to my xbox now i got a new and bigger hd 120GB in present.
So i want to revert my 40GB hd that is currently in my XBOX to a regular PC HD .
How do i go about that ???

you need to make sure the drive is unlocked and then you can just install it into your PC an reformat it. You won't be able to use it in your PC if its still locked. _________________ Live Fast, Bleed Slow

thanks its unlocked now.
Funny thing though my 120Gb HD i got in present wont lock .. guess im really one unlucky bastard :/
edit: Yes i did do it right using the ORG Xbox hd , transfering the c and e drive to my pc and then made a iso with xboxhdm and i did rember the eeprom ..
I was abel to make a the FATX but then when i triede to lock it , it did not worked , it always sayid ,aborting ...
I did reburn the image cause i could have made an error (tride this 5 times) did not work .
Guess im stuck with my 40Gb Hd

ya it may be that you got one of the few drives out there that don't lock, you can check the HardDrive database on this site and look for your drive to see if it has been confirmed lockable or not. That way you know for sure if your drive is unlockable. And not something else that may have been overlooked.
I've also had problems with using the DOS unlock/lock program in XboxHDM. Using the Linux unlock program and the auto read EEPROM code option works like a charm every time, as long as you have the correct EEPROM. _________________ Live Fast, Bleed Slow

Heres a Tip: If you were thinking about buying a locked xbox harddrive off ebay, Dont, because it will stay locked and it will be the best doorstopper you purchased.
Now you will either will have to get another harddrive thats lockable or get a modchip so you can run your xbox with the current 120 gig harddrive unlocked. _________________
