Hope someone can help me!
My son dropped the xbox a few months ago.
All seems to be sort of fine, except every so often or so I would get a FRAG and error code 9.
I would open up the xbox and make sure all the cables were snug and the like and everything would work fine.
Now it just shows error code 9 and FRAGs.

Previously took the hard drive out and in my PC ran the Western Digital utilites, wich found the drive to be error free.

I have a Xecuter 2.3 Lite Modchip installed (I got ths xbox used with the chip already installed) and thought that perhaps one of the wires may have gotten loose or something.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

your harddrive most likely suffered a fatal drop, your gonna have to get a new harddrive for your xbox.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Before I go out and spend money that I don't have, I just want to double check a couple of things.
1. We've been playing the xbox fine for a few months since the drop, except for the glich a few times, and I ran the utilities which said the drive was good. So, I'm puzzled. It *seems* fine???
2. Could it be anything else?

I have a maxtor 40gb drive, i guess if I set that up using the xboxhdd utility and everything works OK, then it is definately the drive?

The drive can work fine but eventually it will just fail, theres bad sectors on the drive now, ive seen this happen where the drive was used for awhile until there was a cascade effect where the whole harddrive went totally corrupt, and it wasnt recoverable.
