Hi everyone,
1st of all sorry in advance it has rpboably been bashed arouns 100 times in here but after reading through 4 pages I decided to ask.
I had a game of mine damaged on the weekend so thought I better make copies of my other ones to play it safe, unfortunately I have so far made three DVD coasters
My Xbox is chipped
I placed in the original game into the XBOX and ran XBox Copy 25 to copy the DVD onto the XBox HDD it made a directory called copy001
I then copied the the entire using WSFTP to my HDD on my PC
I then ran C-XBOX Tool and clicked on ISO Creation
I then added the folder and attempted to make the ISO but the program said I had ilegal caracters in the name that came up by default. I then removed the : from the name and the iso was created.
I then burn the DVD using Nero and stuck it in the Xbox to test. All went well until I clicked on start game and then I received an error Disk dirty or damaged. I did a search and found that I should try buring at 1x so I did and that failed, another post told me to burn using DVD-r which I did and that failed. BTW the first attempt was with a DVD +r
Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong as at the moment I can do is copy them to my HDD which means if I Want to play a game that is on there I have to remove one that is to make room for one that I want to play so I dont damage the DVD's in furture.
thanks heaps for any help
regards

I've never used XBOXCOPY25, so I can't comment on that program. I think you'll find most people use DVD2XBOX to backup their purchased games to the HD.
I use Qwix on my PC to pull the files from the Xbox and create an ISO on my PC for burning. So far, very few coasters.
It might be helpful for you to provide the manufacturer of your Xbox DVD player and the brand and type of DVDs your burning on your PC.
Hang in there, help is on the way. Somebody has solved this problem before and will provide you with the solution.
In the meantime, you might try DVD2XBOX and Qwix. _________________ Not quite a Newbie
