I have an X-bit v1.5 (solderless) chip in my v1.4 xbox.
My problem is that when I flash the chip the original ms dash still comes up. I know that this is because of a bad d0 connection. I have read that i should "scrape" around the d0 to create a connection. How would I do this?

Sometimes there is a resin that must be removed. I'd try rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip first, if not then be careful for you don't wish to damage the traces. I hesitate to recommend a tool, perhaps someone that has had to do that can chime in.

Ok thanks.
Would i apply the rubbing alcohol to the pins on the chip or to the d0 pad in the xbox?
