Hello all,
I have an xbox 1.5 that is dead. I have a hard drive that has no dash board or partition table, an error 16 from the clock, and I don't have the epprom.bin file to rebuild my hard drive. What I need to know is there a mod chip that will let me boot to cd, and if so can I use AID2.0 to repair my hard drive, or as an alternative can I use the "Xbox Interactive Restore Disk" to rebuild my hard drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Which ever way you choose to go SOFTMOD or MODCHIP it will work.
You can always recover a softmodded hdd using whats called a HOTSWAP.. Look for that tutorial in our tutorials section.
If you install a modchip.. The modchip will override any errors and let your xbox boot the AIDeluxe and reformat and reinstall everything.
Personally i would suggest a modchip.. But its up to you.
