I have put in two different mod chips and two different drives and it still will not give the proper status of my drive. When the tray is closed it says it's open on evox screen. When I eject it says ejecting, but will not reset to open or closed when the tray is closed, just hangs there with the light ring flashing. I put in a new yellow multiwire connector (sorry I don't know the proper term ) from the dvd rom to the board, to no avail! Oh yea, if I put in the game and do a hard reset, shut down and start up, It plays the game with no problems. The hard drive jumper is correct as well. Hope thats enough info to get this started.

ok, now I have done the lg drive mod, and it works!!! But the status on my evox dash still says the drive is open when its closed.
I was informed that it might be the 16PIClc chip that controls the dvd drive. If this is corrupted, does anyone know where or how I could reflash it without removing the chip, or am I better off getting a dead board and swapping it out?
