Hello,
the shared modded Xbox we have in the house was working fine the other day, but now all the games (back ups and original discs) seem to be playing in black and white, but the dashboard comes up in full colour! im very new to the xbox so dont have a clue what is going on. Everybody says they havent done anything different. All the cables are in correctly. when ever i select the scart channel the games come up in colour for a second while the screen scrolls and flickers, then it settles down and goes black and white.
If anyone can give me any suggestions i would be very grateful.

I see you mentioned scart, so i guess you have a PAL tv, it sounds like the games are being played in the wrong region, check your dashboard region settings. Might be good to look into getting the enigmah video switcher disk. _________________

Thanks for the advice. I have change the disc region to every available one in turn, this doesnt seem to make any difference, all the games even the ones on the HD play in black and white !

i had this once with PAL version of FIFA 2k5, running on NTSC-USA, this happened when i was messing with the regions on unleash x and b4 the game would look like restricted pay-per-view channel without the cable box, but then after when to black and white, then i dicovered it was due to this.
unleashx was multiregion to PAL, forcing PAL 60mhz. using X2 bios.
now i don't mess with unleashx, but use Evox M8+ (1.6), and all games run in color and the right framerates, also, i've noticed a graphics improvement over the x2 installed........halo 2 looks HD-TV like , and when i was using X2, was like all squared and shit, when the retail bios looked ok.
hurray for the Evox Bios.
is the bios is not the answer.........well, mb you should ask in the VIP chat.
