i installed an xecuter 3 chip into my xbox...i'm certain its a v1. 4 or v1.5....I must've read like 5 different tutorials...and i followed them...and everythin went well ( i thought)....but when i turn on my xbox with a quick press of the power button the lights in front flash red and green and the xbox shuts off....and then turns on and flashs again...and turns off again... when i push and hold down the power button the xobx turns on and boots normally...now i don't know whether this is because i didn't flip the switch on the chip... or because my solderin was bad....now i checked some other websites...and it had a list of what could be wrong...anf for my problem...(i guess..the list wasn't exact or very descriptive)Bad/Corrupted or Empty Eeprom.....i don't really see how a new chip could be corrupted...i was reffered to get my chip from Divineo.com...thats pretty much all i can say about my problem....

1) make sure you have your switches set properly on the x3 external switch... if you dont the xbox wont boot.
2) double and tripple check all of your solder points.

The only thing that can cause your issue is the following.
You have a bad eeprom on the mod chip.
You have a bad flash to a bank.
You have a faulty install.
Try pushing both power and eject buttons in. See if your X light on the front turns a white/purple and you get a 256k back up mode type of bank.
If you get the same frag, I would probably lean toward install or bad eeprom on the chip.

You set the switches according to the bios size that you wish to flash to the chip. You should take some time and read up on your chip and flashing it.
If your chip is bad, you obviously need to contact your chip supplier and get a RMA number to send back for warranty. _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter
