i have softmodded my new v1.6 xbox without any problems all working o.k.my brother wants me to do his xbox but it is over a year old,can anybody tell me if the dashboard can be easily updated if so how as i have read that some games update the dash and disable the softmod,a friend told me that burnout 3 killed his softmod but he managed to redo it using his backup

i have heard that updateing your M$ dash from a Live enabled game can kill a doftmod, but i've never had it happen to me, but if you update before softmodding your good to go. if its already softmodded just ftp the new M$ dash over or use the autioinstaller deluxe and you should be fine
