i have an x3ce with front lcd panel, normally i run XBMC with avalaunch and other dashboards as programs.
the other day, i recieved an unmodded xbox and decided to softmod it using a 007 exploit that i found "in the usual place."
like an idiot, i unlocked the drive and forgot, then restarted the xbox without finishing the mod. so inevitably i had to open it up, place the "new" HDD into my modded box, tried to lock it back using configmagic, and put it back into the UNmodded box to start the whole process over.
i didn't notice my modded xbox wouldn't work until after i had used configmagic (load eeprom from .bin) on the "new" HDD.
when i put both HDDs back where they belong, i was able to finish my softmod (thanks to xbox-hq!), but my modded box now does something strange.
i press power: x3 front panel logo turns red, eject button flashes 2 quick green flashes, the 4 slow flashes. then the x3 logo turns blue and it sounds like the DVD starts... but nothing ever comes on screen
i press power + eject: same thing, but logo does turn white afterwards, then blue. but still nothing on screen.
if i put the "new" box's HDD in-
i press power: same as above.
i press power + eject: same as above, but when the logo turns white then blue, i get xbox flub with evo-x logo on the TV, then evo-x loads. but it's only the softmod evo-x that doesn't really let me do much.
all i'm really trying to figure out is what the "four green flashes" mean. i attempted to contact team xecuter, but their site has frozen all new registration due to high server load.
my other idea was to use AID in some way to fix the eeprom on the chip.
i'm just doing everything i can to NOT re-format the HDD because it's a 500gig and i have a HUGE collection of stuff i'd rather not lose.
ugh, this is such a headache so if anyone has ANYTHING i could use, please let me know. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!

Welcome to the XBOX-HQ, we hope you enjoy this and all the other HQ sites we have to offer.
Sounds like it cant find your dash files, might want to try AID and run a dash install for a chipped box, this will only change things in the C or E drive and leave the F and G as is.

thanks for the welcome wes, and yes i have already made myself at home with all of your own video tutorials, as well as all of the other very helpful ones, video or not.
i have the same feeling, but i have a painful feeling that it isn't the only problem (eeprom or bios). now AID can help with the bios, but i'm not exactly sure it can fix a bad eeprom. yes/no?
either way, i will be trying it after work today.
and before i forget again, gonna go to the "general chat" area to say hello. geez, where are my manners... haha TOTALLY acting like a rude n00b...

Since the xbox is chipped the eeprom is not needed to run the xbox at all but if by chance you some how tanked the chips BIOS then AID also has a BIOS flashing tool, good thing about an X3 chip is i haven't seen much shy of solder splash it cant come back from.
