I had my xbox modded, and I don't know how to find out what chip I have, or what dashboard... I wanna apply more skins, and I don't know how. Is there a way to find out what do I have through the media center? or some other way?... On the start up screen I see the normal ball of energy, then the microsoft one, and then it goes to a screen that looks like the same format of the m$, but the whole thing is blue, and it has the halo guy standing on the left witha gun, and a planet behind him (bottom), can anyone help?

Sounds like unleash X is your dash as for the mod it maybe a softmod or a hard mod. the easiest way to find out is to take it apart and look for the chip.

the chip will be on the left side, under the DiskDrive. Also if the Safety seal hasnt been cracked on the bottom its gotta be a softmod. But if it has been cracked its not necessarily a chip, they could have opened it for fun. _________________ (2) XBOX v1.4:

well I had opened it already and installed xenium ice, but they couldn't flash it for me wo they had to put another chip... I don't know which one.. but looking around yesterday I found the screen that comes up on start up, and its downloadable for msdash, http://www.allxboxskins.com/skins/index.php?app=msdash&cat=0 it's the halo ss one, can anyone tell by this what kinda dash i have?
Also if anyone can help me I can tell you what is on my c: and e: folders

you have UnleashX... and you said they installed a chip but had to remove and it and then installed another?? the only way to tell what chip you have is to open it up and look... _________________ (2) XBOX v1.4:

And that is the MS dash not unleash X. It is a hacked ms dash.

OK, finally got in touch with someone from there and they don't remember the dash I have but they did tell me I have xecuter, they "THINK" I have thc as a dash.. which by pictures of it and skins could look like what I have, so can you guys tell?

Hmmmm, you have a file there called evoxdash.xbe which is the executable to run the EvolutionX dashboard, but I've never seen that style or layout before. It looks more like a hacked version of the MS Dash. Its definitely that style and layout.
Also, what language is that on the dashboard there?

Weird.
Well, definitely looks like a hacked version of the M$ Dash.
If you're worried about it, you could always download AID and start over. At least that way you'll have piece of mind.

I apreciate your responces, they really help me...
I tried to do the AID before, and it changed the layout on my dash, and also the look of it. It looked like something very old and primitive, so I started installing the dashboards from the disc, until I installed ms dash, but I think (I didn't know at the time) that I messed up the chip by doing that, cause I unflashed it or something, that's why I had to send it to my country again so they could fix it. I ended up gettin error 21 i think from what i remember, and they told me they had to do everything again. So I don't know if I wanna try the aid disc again, I thought it was easier to change a skin. OH and they told me they think I have THC as a dash.... Could this be??

PS, I got another box my friend was gonna throw away cause it doesn't work... When I plug it in, it turns on and there's a weird noise that either comes from the dvd drive, or the hd... It doesn't open the tray, and doesn't load anything, just black ... the light stays green and the disc tray when tried to open, it just flashes green as well ...
