its not a adhesive, or shouldnt be when your putting a heat sink on a cpu. So all you have to do is apply the compound assemble and boot it up. It wont dry out or cure if you havent already noticed that the heatsink use a clip to hold it on. LOL _________________

with thermal compound your supposed to
#1 make sure the chip and headsink are cleaned (use cleaning alcohol)
#2 apply the compound to the chip
#3 clip the heatsink on
#4 make it run at max temp for an hour or so
#5 turn it off for an hour
thats what mine said and from the tutorials ive read, and from doing it.

The trick is with this stuff is not to put to much on( you just want it to cover the chip when you place the heatsink on you don't want it go all over the place) and when you place the heatsink on Dont take it off again.....
If you have to take it off then start again (clean it up and put some more on) _________________
