Hey guys , i have heard alot of rumors saying softmodding ur xbox will ruin, melt, break ur xbox. If i do softmod it, will it really affect my xbox in a bad way?

it will effect your xbox, but not for the worse for the BETTER! So much more u can do!
-Stream music/video from your PC over a home network.
-Save your games to the HDD.
-Play online FREE without xbox live.
-use cheats with Xored/XBMC/EvolutionX
-customize the xbox dashboard(s) to your liking

Well, yes i know you can do alot with a modded xbox, but will it really affect it in a bad way (disregarding the fact that modding is cool and all). Like will anything internally be damage?

If anything I would say it will help it because you can adjust the fan speed higher to keep it cooler. I have never had a problem with a softmodded Xbox.

As the guys have said, softmodding offers many advantages, in terms of functionality.
The only way an xbox can be ruined by a softmod is if you delete vital files off of the hard drive. Even still, a 'dead' xbox can usually still be recovered.
With the new breed of softmods out there, it is very hard to screw up your softmodded xbox. So if you decide to mod, just read all the documentation for that particular mod, and you will have no problems at all _________________
