I am not new to xbox and modding but new to this great website and forum. Just wanted to say hi to everyone and I am looking forward to getting stuck into all the topics, hope there are also some other xbox gals - if there are let me know who you are

Now I get it! Jess is a gal! Excellent! I NEVER would have guessed that the dreaded SKULLCRUSHER was a female! Welcome! I wish more gals would become involved! My wife thinks I'm borderline insane. 3 Xboxs strewn about, routers & switches here and there, patch and crossover cables running throughout the house upstairs/downstairs, Steel Battalion controller occupying the entire computer desk, Minivan purchased because it already has AV hookups for mobile Xboxing. You are probably better than most guys at it too because women are more patient than guys. For instance, when we can't get electronics to work correctly we usually resort to banging it on the side really hard.
Women are smart enough to see that we never had it plugged into the electrical outlet

I am used to being the only gal I was the only girl in the whole school that studied Technical Studies but hey don't go thinking I'm a geek , maybe cleverer than you think, I never had so many date offers in my life LOL
Yeah I am Xbox crazy - have 4 xbox's lying around - hey you need one in every room right ? Including one in the cinema room with a 2 and a half meter screen, beamer and played on a Pyramat (pyramat.nl)

Ohh while I am here a quick question (didn't want to start a new thread) I signed up for the VIP thing 2 days ago and have mailed twice to 'contact us' but haven't heard anything...anyone know how I can get the ball rolling? I have more than 50 games which I can upload etc. if any are missing and am in desperate need of some ROMS.

Forahobby, who runs the site, apparently had a little electrical storm problem and his computer is fried. He'll be down for a few days, so, unfortunately, you'll have to be patient and just deal with a bunch of guys drooling all over you.

Funny enough I was talking to forahobby a little while ago about a different method for VIP Validation, but from talking it's gonna be hard to have 2 people validating them. Since forahobby has his own system of doing it, plus his way of checking up on all of it, I'd more than likely throw his system out of place, lol..
In all seriousness though, fingers crossed that forahobby gets back on his feet soon, we all need you mate!!

It's nice to see females getting into modding. With our team of experts here, we'll have you perfectly modding your xbox in no time...
You'll notice we are quite friendly here also, so don't be afraid to ask any questions. All of us basically started knowing nothing, then along the way we've learned from each other, and it's amazing how quick you'll learn stuff..
I read from your earlier posts that have some techincal knowledge, is this with PC Hardware/Software stuff? If so, you'll find that the Xbox isn't that much different. The components are basically PC components (Intel Celeron 733mhz CPU, IDE Hard Drive, 64mb RAM, Onboard Video+Sound etc) with some minor tweaking here and there. I'd be curious if you could tell us all a bit more about what you know...
Hopefully your VIP membership can be sorted out soon. When it does there's 3 main programs that you'll want:
1) Xbox-Hq BIOS-CD Pack v1.01 - This pack includes tons of BIOS CDs, all doing various things. We can advise you later on which BIOS to use when you buy a modchip. This was released by me only a few days ago.
2) Xbox-Hq EvoX Auto-Installer v1.3 - This sets up your xbox after your modchip is installed and flashed. It will install the dashboard so you can play and rip games, plus launch other various programs. It's also used for perparing a brand new hard drive. I released this about a month ago and has nearly 500 downloads, it's probably the most popular installer used here.
3) Xbox-Hq Emulator Auto-Installer v1.0 - This sets up about 20 different emulators for you Xbox, including PSOne, Nintendo 64, Gameboy Advance, MAME etc. There are no ROMS (or games) on this installer though, they'll have to be aquired sepereately. This installer was made by myself and Forahobby a little while ago now.

Jess, you get to know a lot of different people here and as you have already noticed it's a great community. DJB puts out the coolest files for all of us to enjoy, forahobby also has great technical knowledge, and well, frankly...he pays the bills!
Me, well I am sorta the US guy that puts in loads of time on the forums making sure everyone gets taken care of asap. The last two days I have been busy painting my little girls room (She's 7 and loves to game). So you probably haven't seen me around as much as usual.

Well, look at it like this RealMccloy, now that Forahobby is temorarily out of full activity, that sorta puts me in charge, lol. So you're 2.5 could be valid since we both have to try and make up where he would've done stuff, hehehe. The only thing I really wish at the moment is that I could help with the VIP Memberships, especially in times like this.
I'll see what I can do about the newly signed VIPs, hopefully I can assist Forahobby by atleast setting a few of the new VIPs active. I'm gonna try and pay him a visit tonight so I'll discuss this with him. I feel like it's my repsonsibility to try and keep the ball rolling as much as possible here.
With all honesty though, this site wouldn't be where it is today without RealMccloy and Forahobby, plus all our other members that try and help out as much as possible, I'm just the dumbass that sits back, writes a few replies to forum posts and VIP tickets, uploads some stuff, and makes a few install cds. So if you need help from a dumbass, just call me, lol.
Will keep yous informed if I make any progress with the VIPs...

Thanks for the tips also on what to install - I might try some of them although I do already have everything on the Xbox's - EvoX, extra harddrive, Emulator's etc. etc.
I studied Technical Studies in High School for 3 years so I am a dab hand at soldering etc.
I hope I can bring something to the board...and will help others as best as I can also...
I am mainly looking for ROMS most of all Collecovision, Intellivision, playstation etc. to make it quick I aleady have around 4000 MAME roms and around 1300 GBA Roms so if anyone is looking for any MAME's or GBA's let me know and I will upload them.
Well that's my fix for the day - I am off to check out all the VIP stuff
