hmm quick little question.... do i need a cross-over cable if i connect my xbox to my pc through a router?

I'm pretty sure you don't need crossover thru a router, but I'm not 100% sure. I can FTP directly, and also thru my router/modem from my PC to my xbox with a crossover. I think at one stage I also used a straight thru cable via the router.

If you have a router, just connect the xbox to one of the ports and then refresh the network settings on the xbox. That's all you have to do.
