I'll try to keep this short.
Xbox was already softmodded and I wanted to do some updating to hopefully fix some issues I was having and made some bigger issues for myself. Downloaded AID 3.0 Deluxe. Reinstalled MSdash. Backed it up. Backed up the eeprom. Installed SID 4.5 single boot. Then installed the UnleashX dash. Xbox rebooted. Showed the normal xbox flubber screen and then tried to boot UnleashX. The logo appeared (but was garbled on the screen) and then the xbox shut down or something (xbox still powered on, but the screen showed like it wasn't). Xbox led will start out green and then go red when it tries to boot whatever it's trying to boot. It will play real games, but not backups. What did I do and how can I fix it without losing the 30 games that I have on my 200 gig hard drive? I guess if they have to go to fix the drive, then they have to go.

I would see if it runs the AID3 disc....then install a new dash and give it a shot...I wouldn't do anything to your HDD. I mean worest case you have to get a chip but I don't think you are even close to that yet _________________ The mighty V6 Passat came to chew bubble gum and kick%^* and shes all out of bubble gum!

Won't boot the AID disc. Won't boot any disc that isn't a "real" xbox disc. I really don't want to buy a chip for it....mostly because i don't want to wait. The box won't even boot up to the MSDash so I'm not sure a chip would even help. I still have the original hd which I'm thinking I'm I'll just have to go through the hd swap process again...formatting the big drive for xbox and then putting the original files over on the new Hd and doing the softmod once again....unless someone has a better option.

or just boot up SID 4.5, Download the files from a sticky under usefull links: http://xbox-hq.com/html/postt13750.html <<right there then of course MS Dash 5960. Just make sure u have it B4 u delete ur C(XBOX), then rename the folder u downloaded to C and copy it to ur C on ur xbox and u should have it back to MS Dash, BUT remember do NOT turn off the xbox after u delete C off of it, ONLY AFTER u put it back on from the PC. Then of course re-Softmod. _________________ Hotswap Tutorial|FTP Tutorial|HyperX Flashing Tutorial
