yes... so i put linux from splintercell on my xbox and loaded it up. EvoX came up. i hit 'launch menu' or 'MS dashboard' and it says that i need to contact customer service... what should i do? PM me please

well that's the problem... i am a total noob at this. i just started reading about it half an hour ago. do you think i need to do some more research before i actually start?

Research is a MUST. Sounds like you're using the old "Only allow me to FTP" exploits. Head on over to aideluxe.com and read up on the Softmod installer deluxe v3.11 or 4.5 (depends on what flavor you like more). Makes hacking that xbox a breeze, my friend.
Reboot your box, see if it still works. Chances are, it does. If not, you'll have to play some tricks to get the new exploits on there, but it will be a cinch once you get our help. Stick to the newer topics in the softmod and newbie forums, and don't got the Xbox-Scene. They'll still refer you to the old school softmods and Slayer's EvoX Autoinstaller. oh ok, thanks yeah... the sites that i have seen told me to do a few other things...which got me confused. hopefully i can get this to work with some help. yeah, my xbox still works. but i'll go and read some more on aideluxe
