Hey, Im new to xbox modding. I have a softmodded xbox but as soon as i get the money, im buying a case, a new hard drive, and a chip (duox2). I read this tutorial http://xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-33.html and it looks so awesome. I have my eye on a computer case. http://www.xoxide.com/clearacatxca.html Im goin to oreder it with dual blue cathodes and 4 LED fans. First question is do I need a power supply pre-instelled? I dont thingk so because The xbox has a power supply. Also, where would I solder the 4 fans and 2 cathodes? I just need basic help with this tutorial. Like a video or and all picture diagram. It is a great tutorial, but some of that I just dont understand like this: ( the power for the dvd tho is difficult. its a 10 pin (if i remember correctly) custom connector. i simply cut it in the middle and extended it with ide ribbon. be warned. this is a slow an laborious task. expect to take at LEAST an hour over this. be care to make sure the extension is pin for pin.) If any one can help me, my AIM is forget2rememb3r, or just PM me if u have dont htis because i really want to do this. Thanks.

well basically there are no tutorials for doing this, as every job is a "beta", so to say. Fans can use the 12v yellow molex, while leds will use the 5v (red) molex with resistors. The xbox power supply should be enough, no need for a computer psu. Extending the dvd, controller ports, power supply wires is fairly self explanatory, just use the same gauge wire. Just cut one wire at a time so you know which matches with which wire. Wink

Let me know if you need anything else for this project.
