Hey guys, I really can't ask any other forums besides this one because it's the only one that actually helped me out Ok, I have a few questions that need answers, thanks:
1) What is the differnce between softmodded xbox and hardmodded ones (a xbox with modded chips)
2) How do you download mods (specifically halo 2) and apply them to your xbox and play them?
3) For Halo 2, is it true that you can only mod the new maps? If so where can I get them?
4) So just wondering, my friend has a softmodded xbox and he could go online...with the softmod on!!! I know that xbox live auto detects that you have a modded xbox or not, so how come he didn't get banned?

1. A softmod is a software based mod using a memory card and a exploited game and a hardmod is where a mod chip is installed to take over the functions of the tsop.
2. We cannot discuss halo mods here.
3 Same as 2
4. You cant go on XBL with a softmod active or hardmod active or your xbox will be banned. _________________

I thought the newer softmods let you go online with a softmod?

no the newer softmods allow you to keep your softmod intach to your xbox so you dont have to uninstall and re install like in the past....
if ms detects anything or any file out of its place or its structure it considers it modded enough .... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition
