do i have to uninstall then reinstall sid or is there something i can execute to make it the way it was? i can see all my xbmc stuff etc in sid 4 file explorer....or do i have to select uninstall then reinstall? if so how do i uninstall all my otherish like xbmc etc? _________________

I dont' get the question, but If I think I know what you think you posted
You can simply put all your stuff from old hdd to new, and it will be the same, flawlessly, except for xbox live content, cause those can have some hardware checks, specially halo 2 MMP will not work, you'll have to reinstall that one again. _________________ Xbox v1.1

ive already made the hd, its in my xbox right now but it only loads retail....but if i put in mech assault and go to run linux and go to sid4 menu/file expplorer i can see all my files are exactly the same as before when i looked in xbmc....but its not reading the unsigned code or going to xbmc as dash....
so is there an xbe im supposed to click or do i have to uninstall soft mod then reinstall? _________________

ok so just run mech/sid and install softmod again?
what happens to all my xbmc stuff? will it erase it cause im gonna install again with aid3 and i dont want duplicate thiings cluttering hd.... _________________

ok ive got sid reinstalled...but im noticing it takes awhile to get from xbox screen to unleashx screen, and like wise from unleashx to xbmc....and scrollin down main page of xbmc is real slow....
on the plus side prince of persia works now...lol
anyone know why it would be laggin at these spots? seems to work fine every where else.... _________________

really? with the stock drive xbmc loaded within 20-30 secs now it takes like a min- min 1/2...and scrollin down on main screen through my programs , pics, videos etc...was instantaneous now it lags like crazy....
is that what happens with the bigger drives? _________________

is the hd 7200rpm 8mb buffer? might need to reinstall from scratch .... try clearin you E/cache and x y z

well im copying a game to hd and it seems to be going as quick or quicker than stock...im gonna play it and see if it reacts normal....if so then i guess i will have to try reinstallin sid.... _________________

i dont think sid would relate to this but based on what hd type it is ... what are the sepcs???? are they the ones i mentioend .???
