I just have a few questions before i begin on this journey. First of all I am a complete newbie, so bear wit me. I have a x-box with a error message 07, so I know i need to replace my HD. i have got a regular pc HD and was wondering if i need to buy a mod chip to install this HD? If I dont need a mod chip then exactlywhich programs do i need to insall this new HD. I want be able to play burnt games and stuff, but I dont really need to use my x-box as a pc or nothing like that. If I do need to buy a mod chip than maybe a few suggestions as to what kind to get for a newbie, to be easy to use.

i would check all the cables in your xbox , most likely the cable from hd came lose.
