I've been using X2 5032 512k bios with an Xenium ice chip with no problems. Recently I read that you should only use them with the Xecuter2, or 3 chip. Is this true? What would be the outcome of me using X3 3284 bios with an Xenium ice chip? Thanks.

The x3 is really only made for the x3 b/c of certain pins it uses on the LPC (according to TeamX's website) So, there is a hacked x3 bios on newsgroups that people have been saying they are able to get to work on other chips. But right now, look at the diff btwn. the x2 and x3 bios. The x2 bios requires programming before flashing, while the x3 has on the fly editing. I know the earlier x2' bios could be used all around, i haven't read up on the newer ones.
So really you should be fine if nothing has happened yet.
I especially wouldn't use the new x3 with the LFRAME voltage being regulated by programming now. _________________ XBOX v1.6

If it aint broke don't fix it.
To those who are telling you to not use X3 bios with Xenium ice chip...tell them to stop reading posts at Xbox-Scene and come here...we won't steer them wrong
the X2 bios will work on any chip that the bios fits to. I have been using X2 bios' in SmartXX V2, SmartXX LT OPX, and Xenium Ice mod chips for over a year.
As mentioned the X3 bios is a completely different animal. Do not use that on any chip besides the X3 chip.
