My xbox is modded using the Splinter Cell method but I tried to install a spiderchip (which only managed to boot once) but before I turned off my xbox I unlocked the hard drive. Then after that I returned my chip but did not lock my hard drive again. Can the xbox's hard drive be unlocked using a mod chip but still be booted with the soft mod, because i'm getting an error and my friend told me that you can boot an unlocked xbox using a soft mod after it has been unlocked using a chip and i am trying to narrow down my list of possible problems.

I`ve not read that right i`m sure.
if you can get the chip to work then it will boot.

yea if you get the spider chip working and running,then yes the xbox can boot an unlocked hard drive. however if you dont have the spider chip on or working right, then the xbox will NOT boot an unlocked drive _________________ Blue Chaos
