hi all. ok so far i have installed xenium ice chip.works.the oscomes up and all that.sofar so good .i installed a bios.xecuter. but i cannot get thisdarn thing to network with my pc. i am using flashxp and a crossover cable direct from my pc to xbox but im just gettinng "connection refused"message. this is my most recent ip adress that i tried 198.168.1.32. i tried matching them exactly xbox to pc i've tried differnt #'s for each butnothing is working. any help would be great. thanx

Hey 'steel' dont feel bad. This is a task that a lot of people stumble through pretty badly. I happened to luck out. I think those of us that luckily use our routers actually have an easier time than people going the cross over route.
I have personally never tried the crossover method but here are some tutorials that should shed some light. Let me know if you find them useful in anyway.

thank you very very much mod god. i appreciate it! everything is working now. the key was to have default gateway on the xbox the same as the ip adress from the pc. the one tutorial showed me that. ijust couldnt find it last night. tried my first rip and burn and all worked(so far) flash xp workded great. nero isnt workingtoo great yet but i used dvd decrypter and thats workingperfect. the iso program that is with decrypter isn't too great though(for me) it won't connect to the xbox.oh well.i used c-xboxfor iso creation and that stuff and that worked. my xbox likes the maxell dvd+rw but the sony dvd+r is a toss up. right now im just using program on disk called:remotex so i can rip to the pc. im sure i'll find better ways when i get acces to the vip area(when my payment clrears) butfor now itworks and is easy so hey cool! im an expert now lol. later

hi scapegoat. i can tell you exactly what i did if you like? this is theonlylway i know of right now but heck it works so why mess with it. i am using the cable crossover method with one nic card. xecuter2 bios,remotex "dashboard".xenium ice chip with os2
