I am very new to this . I recently bought a X-box 1.6 for my son and I decided to softmod it with Splinter Cell. Everything seems to work fine except when I try to load the msdashboard my screen turns black then I have to turn off the X-box. Couple days Later I realize that I forgot to patch the MS Dash 5960 After I patched it I attempted to launch the msdash this time I get a screen with the X-box Logo saying Loading MS DASHBOARD, but nothing happens. Can anyone help me on this one. Again I am very new to this. Thanks again,

just undo the softmod (put ms backup back)
make sure it is MS Dash 5960
now run original game load the safegame
install softmod
patch dash
install evox or unleashx
check the config file if ms dash link goes to msdash.xbe
ps if it still doesn't work , tell me what do you see on c drive (files + dirs)
