Ok here is what I have done so far.
Loaded the Mechassault mod on the original HD and works like a champ.
Backed up C & E to my PC via flashxp (also works like a champ)
got eeprom.bin from xbox.
Here is where the problem is.
Made Auto-Installer ISO disc (per the forum), this disc works with the original HD and the softmodding so far.
BUT when I try to put the DVD in the drive with a brand new 160gig maxtor drive. I keep getting the XBOX REQUIRES SERVICE
I have tried 3 different types of media, all slow burned via DVD Decrypter and NERO with no luck.
I have think i have set the HD up correctly also.
Used Xboxhd to set the drive up for us in the xbox, copied both C & E folders to the drive with no problem.
Locked the harddrive using this program.
I have read everything I can (probably missed some too) but my eyes are hurting from all the reading and the different options for installing big harddrives.
According to the setup guide for the AUTO-Installer. The disc should be able to format, config, HELL do it all, but I cannot get it to work.
PLEASE HELP ME OUT>

Ok so I got the AID to load via the Mech assault exploit and loaded all of the dashboards, ETC to the retail HD. when the xbox rebooted it came up as the regular Xbox dashboard. I logged into xbox live to see if it all still worked and it did, the problem is that it loaded the latest xboxlive update and now I cannot get the Mechassault exploit to work anymore, I have tried downloading different ones from the net with no luck.
At least the Xbox is still working.
