I would say no, It's been so long since I played mine I can't remember if there were as many updates as there was with the 360. They took off Online play, It's getting harder and harder to find working parts for them and I don't think if you bought one new today that Mircrosoft would give you a repair warranty only a replacement warranty, can you even buy them from Microsoft anymore?
Anyways if Microsoft doesn't care about the console anymore then this is great for us modders. We don't have to worry about new firmwares revealing for example, constant updates with games, worrying about the next Xbox 1 model release etc... But if you stop to think about if they did stop caring about Xbox 1 and the next new gen console Xbox 720 for example releases what will become of the xbox 360?
Will Microsoft continually remove old Networks just make way for the next Model? Wasn't online play free for the Xbox 1? If so I can't remember. Once the next new gen console releases will the Xbox 360 be just as easy to mod as the Xbox 1?
Take a look at Sony, they Had the PS1, ps2 as all know, But now that they released the PS3 their cracking down, releasing constant firmware updates just to stop modders (As well as update the console it's self) But isn't the PS1 and PS2 just as easy to mod now days?
So, in the end Microsoft and what other game company wants to keep fighting against Modders but their mess up part on them is the fact they don't pay attention to their older consoles. If we already have what a Jtagged Xbox 360 can do for example why would we want to Jtag a 360? Some of us don't know what they Older models are capable of and end up throwing them out which is really sad, then they find out a 360 can play Emulators and want to take it apart and do all that cutting non sense.
Anywho Microsofts can only blame them selfs in the end then they want to go around sueing people. Ha.

They don't care about the older consoles because they are no longer making money of them. Also, you can't play Xbox 360 games on the old Xbox, so it's not like they have to worry about piracy. It wouldn't make any sense for Microsoft to be worried about people modding their old console, because they don't even make any money off of it anymore. The lure of jtagging a 360 is greater than just modding an old Xbox, because the old Xbox is old technology.
It is also true that Microsoft no longer supports the Xbox and new Xboxes have not been made since late 2005 or early 2006 because Nvidia stopped making the GPU for the original Xbox. _________________

So in other words Microsoft only pays attention to what they make money on. I remember back in the day going to Walmart or K-mart that you could go over to th electronic section and find all the new Xbox 1 game demos etc...You can't even buy a controller for the xbox 1 at Walmart even anymore. Not even at Gamestop or other Game trading places you might find an old beat up one but good luck finding a new one.
We're they running after or did they have as many modder working on the Xbox 1 back then?

Heres a little modder history for ya
Dash 4920 was the favoured dash to exploit, Mechinstaller and UDE were the mods. MS releases dash 5960 overwrites Mechinstaller and UDE virtualy killing any use for those mods. A year or so goes by, Rmenhal releases NKPatcher and NDURE which uses a temp dash (Xonlinedash look on C youll see it) that MS switches you to during the update to 5960. MS does nothing, they ignore NK and Ndure, which in 2005 sends the clear message that MS no longer cares and has moved its efforts to 360.
The XBOX 1 modder comunity was larger in a lot of ways because the XBOX is the ost exploitable console ever released, the Wii is a close second. In the old days it was huge but has been pretty much dead for years. I think DJB and myself are the only people left still updating the exploits and homebrew has just about died.
2 more years and youll see the same apathy towards the Wii by Nintendo now that they are releasing a replacement. Once MS has truly comited to the new console theyll stop giving a damn about 360 and things will realy move forward.
