Posted: Mon Jun 23, 2008 5:31 am Post subject: Xbox error 21 on softmod, original dashboard messed up??
Hi there! I'm new here but I search on the net for my problem without finding a good solution.
I've installed the Evox mod using SID5 with Splinter cell save exploit. Yesterday I've connected my xbox to pc with ftp to use some trainers. When I rebooted the xbox to access the evox and check the trainers the console stopeed working. If I turn it on with the disc tray open I can access the original dashboard but it freeze if I try to create a new account or if I try to go in the network settings. I tried using slayers disc to format partitions and restore the hard drive but nothing changed! I've even rewrote the original dashboard files to partition c using ftp but the problam remain.... Now on the hard disk there should be only the microsoft dashboard. While does it keep booting like that??? What's wrong?
Oh BTW I cannot do the SID installer again. If I move the SId save and installer to the hard drive again (they were gone after formatting) load Splinter Cell and try to redo the exploit the game reboot!!!

i had the same problem once. wes213 helped me out with it. its probably the trainers. instead of FTPing all the trainers at once, drop them in by chunks till you find the punk trainer thats messin with your stuff...hope it helps later _________________

But the hard drive is empty! I don't have any trainers at all!
Isn't that strange? lso when I accesed the hd with ftp even after I formatted it the folders have reappeared!!!! O_o Then I completely delete them... do you think that the files still remain on the hard drive??

do you have and AID disk? if not download it and burn it.

If you used the virtuil C install you need to unmount the V C to fully uninstall the softmod.
If you blanked the HDD then the error 21 is because you have no MS dash in the C drive, like SIK said get AID and burn it to disk and see if it will boot.

I used the slayers disc before, now I have tried the AID disc but I make something even worse. After reinstalling the original MS dashboard I used the remove softmod command..... now I get error 13 and I'm not able to boot anything -_- now I can only hotswap right??

What happen If I insert a game that update the dashboard??? Will it be reinstalled???.......

With any luck installing a live game and launching live it will reinstall your MS dash for you, then you will just need to re-soft mod it.
Make sure you are not on line when you launch live, disconnect the ethernet cable then do this trick.

I've tried with DOOM3 and XIII but nothing happen. When I try to connect to live(with ethernet disconnected) it says to press a to run a trobleshooting whatever it is but only a black screen and than nothing...... they same happen if I use live connected and than try to create a new account, black screen. I don't even know if this games can install a dashboard. Maybe I should try HALO2, that I don't have.....

Ok never mind. I did an hotswap and replaced everything using xplorer360 Noi I want to redo the splinter cell softmod and install the latest xbmc
