Someone please help. I have a softmodded xbox with Unleashx and I have tried to change the ambient sound plus some of the other sounds but I cannot figure out how to do it. I transfer a wav file into the right directory but unleashx will not play it. Also I wanted to play background music but I don't know how to do it. I would really appreciate any help. Thank you.

Did you rename the wav file to match the sound file your replaceing?

You need to set the music path to where your music is in order for it to play. _________________

How do I play background music on my softmod xbox? What folder do I put the music in, what file format do I use. I put a 500gb harddrive in and it looks like music is stored in f:music folder but when I drop music in there it does not play. I was messing around with the sound options and selected "xbox" and music started playing. Apparently the guy I bought the xbox from had music on the original xbox harddrive and those saves were transferred over to my new harddrive. I dug around and finally found where they were in e:/data/fffe0000. Is that the folder the xbox saves music too? I am so confused, I tried putting my own music in that folder but it won't play. I also can't change the ambient sound or the scrolling sound. I put .wav files in the right folder and directed the xbox to the new .wav file but it won't play it. I am a complete dumbass apparently. Please help!!!!!!

All you have to do is go to system/settings/sound and audio, change play music to custom or both if you want the soundtracks to play too, set the music path to your music folder and resart you xbox. It should work for you then. _________________
