Posted: Mon Sep 17, 2007 4:48 am Post subject: Fixed a X-2 chipped box w/ a softmod
I thought I'd stick this up as it might help someone w/ similar problems. My buddy brought me his Xbox he just bought to see if I could fix it. The box has a 200gb seagate and an executer-2 chip and its a v1.0. I went to check it out and see what he was talking about guess what no programs would load you could only get the M$ dash and the chips dash to load, it wouldn't even load a game unless it was in when you booted it up. After trying many different things to get it workin I decided I'd go ahead and just softmod it and see if anything would boot that way so I would know if it was something wrong with the chip. Guess what same problem till I patched the HDD w/ the second patch option, I believe w/ the program I use to softmod lists the option as nkpatcher.67. After doing that everything worked perfectly on the softmodded area and the M$ but I still had to flash the chip to get it workin properly again. Hope this helps someone I know it sounds crazy but hey it worked. _________________
