i recieved an error screen 07 when booting up my xbox after updating XBMC, is FTP possible on this screen? what can i do to save my data on my HDD?

Ok, an error 7 means: HDD timeout

Basically, your HDD did not respond in the expected timeframe. This could be because the drive is failing/has failed or it could be that something on the drive is causing it to freeze.

I take it the error appears when the Xbox logo appears on screen?

it appears after the Logo, it shows the Logo then goes to a blank screen for awhile and then the error appears

sorry for double post, but on another softmodded xbox i have it works fine i am having trouble getting ftp to work though, i'm using xbmc, and the pass is xbox but the username is screwy it says that the username is ?0? or ?-1? what do i do?
