Please help me I been trying to softmod my xbox with xboxhdm_v1.9. I did choose the option one which is to start an hard drive from cratch, but later it ask for the info for the C drive which I was thinking was already on the iso cd . Now where do I get those file and where do I put them on the new iso cd I will create .
Please help me , I'm just hoping that I did not kill my xbox.

Umm get VIP membership and get the Softmod hdd files and add ur EEPROM to the disc _________________

So you said to get the file that I need I have to be VIP to have it.
Where do I get the EEprom from my hard drive or VIP
I will look around and if I find no answer I will go VIP

Sorry mate but you cannot softmod your Xbox that way...
Xboxhdm is for rebuilding a messed up HDD...
If that's what your trying to do put a copy of Ms dash in C drive and nothing in E drive, with your your eeprom.bin file in the eeprom folder and make the iso, then burn to disk and then follow the Make a HDD from scratch Tutt....

OK so what can I do now
I will reexplain what I did i case I explain myself wrong
Did the hotswap to unlock HDD
Did an iso of xboxhdm_v1.9.
did not back up my original HDD I know big mistake
I start running the xboxhd and choose option 1
I did format the C drive and after it ask where are the files to put in c drive
that where I don't have a clue where to go
Since then I did not replug my xbox or even try it yet.
So now because I format the c drive does my xbox is dead
what can I do and I don't my going VIP to fix the problem

OK if your hotswapping all you will need it a copy of ms dash (5960) in the c drive FILE then make and burn the iso to a disk, when your done and you turn the Xbox on you will be back with a standerd Xbox then you can softmod it... _________________

Thank you robbie for all those info it is awesome, one more quetion if I want to softmod using the hotswap method what kind of file I put in the c drive and on the E drive

Great mate have you read the tut for installing a soft mod you will need a game like 007 AUF a mem card the installer and gamesave....
BUT first read over the Tut about how to install the softmod.... _________________

I bought myself an 320 Gig hard drive I just finish trying to install it using
xboxhdm and all the file with that Shademand's Ready Made Xbox Softmod which basically is all the file for your C drive and E drive but now I'm having error 5

Good news my original hard drive is now softmod and working correctly
Now if I want to put my new harddrive, the way I have been reading I actually need my eeprom so I will be able to lock the hard drive, is there a way to go around that and if not how to I get the eeprom

With a softmod, a hdd has to be locked...no other way.
