Hi people has anyone got a good tutorial on how to cut the xbox case to make it a slim xbox without the dvd drive? and how do you stop it asking for the dvd drive? most of the tutorials have dead pics or do say much.
Also the tin on the inside on the xbox case in the top and bottom does the xbox need it in there? is it a earth for it?

The tin serves two purposes: RF shielding and heat shielding. You can safely dispose of it in and never worry about it again.

yep, this mod is "easy", just alot of cutting down and some mesuring. Basically measure twice, cut once, test fit, cut, test fit, cut...

just finshing off my xbox prject XBOX 2HDD's. next i will be doing a xbox slim. hope to see sum photos of other that thay have made.

Just a update i have removed 1 hdd and modifyed the dvd drive that was stuffed and installed a fan in the center on the cd holder blows air round inside the case oand down on the motherboard.
