Hey-oh!
Although I’ve ordered a modchip for my Xbox, it’ll be a while before it arrives. As such is the case, I’m considering hex-editing for the time being. Are there any known exploits enabling a unmodified Xbox to have it’s saves edited? For instance, I’d like to get more cash on DoA: XVB and Ninja Gaiden. If there is such an exploit, could I be pointed towards a good starting-point?
Thanks in advance for any support I receive.

Hey bud, welcome to Xbox-hq. In all my posts, I think you are the first that I remember in a long time talking about hex editing. I am not sure how advanced you are on it, or how much info you already have.
I personally have never done it. I have done a quick google search and checked quite a few of the results. Mostly what I get is in regard to some Halo changes.
What they all have in common is the editor used. They all mention a program called HHD Hex Editor. I'll keep peeling around the results and see if I find any info regarding the games you mention. I found a tutorial for a Halo change, but so far that is it.

I apologize for the delay in my response. My PC up and died on me at the worst possible time. (I’m using the PC-lab at the National University here in Fresno, CA. I have to say that I’m quite unimpressed with their hardware.)
I broke down, finally, and bought an Alladin modchip from the section of the site, here, named for it. Once I arrive back at my mother’s place in Oakhurst, chomping an hour out of my day, I’ll pick up my soldering iron and head back to the car once more to retreat to my run-down bachelor pad for some much deserved rest. Dear God! Pray for me and the inevitable five-day blackout, peepz!
Anywho, I’ve printed out the installation instructions and will commence the welding and sweat-making in a few days or so. I’m typing on-the-fly and am pressed for time so I’ll drop this Q while my soda-buzz is maintained:
Is there a simple way of uncovering what version of hardware I’ve got? I’ll check the tuts before logging off but I wanted to be sure to ask for completeness’ sake.
Thanks for providing such a timely reply! (The same can’t be said for me… Heh…) It’s difficult to find descent assistance these days.
Appreciate it!

The first one, eh? I feel so special! :p
