I have installed Softmod.Installer.Deluxe.v4.5.Nknave.Edition
worked great but i mess up and deleted my e:/backup/Ms folder by accedent thinking i was deleting the mod folder to redo a backup ,so now i cant resave a MS backup cause it tells me it detects a softmod?!? I dont care to ever use xbox live agin but i do want to get back to my softmod dash that came with it,unleashx But i cant get of of the sid4.5 install screen,it wont let me reinstall the softmod cause it says there is one all ready existing.I cant uninstall sid for the missing MS folder,I just want to go back and get into the unleash x dashboard when i boot up agin.I was tring to reclaim some space on the e: drive to copy a cd to cause after i installed the eveoulyion x dash i installed the unleash x to see it the same way i did the first time by installing the mod and it ate up more e: drive so i thought if i cleaned up the first install by deleteing the backup of my Mod folder and redoing it it would give me back my lost space so it would be like instsalling the unleash x dash fist with just the single boot selection instead of the other 2 boot methods that i tried.Because i only ended up have 2.3 gigs on drive e 300 megs on c and drives H,K X and Y had around 749 megs each.Does that sound right?or do i possible have duplecate files on e that i dont need cause the last 2 games i wanted to copy to the hdd were 2.9 and a 3 gig in size.Is there not anyway to combine the space on drives H,K,XandY to have more?
And can i get my MS folder back in place so i can reinstall the dashboard and get off the install screen?Or am I screwed??

Can you boot AID? If you can, its an easy fix. If not, I would FTP into the xbox and delete E and C and replace C with the files in my signature.
As for the drive, no, you can't combine them. H is your memory card, and x, y, and z are cache partitions. You need them for regular game play, etc. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

I did reboot with sid ,installed the softmod but i cant watch dvd,when i looked at the file manager the amount for drive c: is zero and it cant find my dvd player,because drive c is showing zero.But under sid install page in the file manager it shows the drive c: having 499 megs and all the proper files,just not under the dashboard file manager so it cant find the xboxdash.xbe to load for dvds,Im totally at a loss as to why in sid4.5 setup boot screen the manager shows the file but in the dashboad screen it does not how do i fix that is all i need now and ill be happy as can be.

AID what is that im using Softmod Installer Deluxe v4.5.Nknave Edition is that the same thing or do i need something else?and if i delete e: wont that be all of my game saves and ripped music as well?Do u mean delete or format cause it keeps asking me for a password when i try to format a drive.

delete and format will essentially do the same thing. And yes, it will wipe all your game saves and music. You can FTP into the xbox to back them up to your PC though.
AID = auto installer deluxe. A new version was just released, and I highly recommend downloading it as it has tons of applications, emulators, dashboards, etc. When you get that post back and we'll show you how to reinstll your softmod with AID. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

Well it took 6 hours,lol and im not real sure what i did or didnt do,lol,But it works perfectly now.But for the life of me i still cant ftp into or out of the xbox to my pc i never have been able to it just keeps timming out on me in flashfxp and all the settings are right i read every tutorial on it in the archives they all say the same thing , i do it and still no go, so i think ill try that cross cable idea to go straight to pc from xbox,that would be the same thing as an xbox link cable right?Not just an ordanary cat 5 line right?
