Post subject: Having Troubles

Before I go on I would like everyone to be aware that the downloaded games I speak of I have purchased with my own money so therefore they are ownly being used as test DVD's so there shouldn't be any legality issues. Now on to my troubles I have been having.

I softmodded my XBOX successfuly with Splinter Cell but I faced problems when trying to load Auto Installer Deluxe 3.0 on a burned FujiFilm DVD+R at 4X with the 1GB dummy file.

According to the UnleashX dash there was no disc in the drive. When I was installing the softmod i was under the impression that it would allow me to load burned discs or even Retail DVD Movies. I also tried to load two games that have been downloaded and burned such as NHL '07 and Star Wars:KOTOR. Both were burned at 4X and 2.4X on +R's but still just like Auto Installer

Deluxe 3.0 the UnleashX dash told there was no disc in the drive. Then I tried to play From Dusk Till Dawn (Retail DVD Movie) and this time the UnleashX dash recognized that there was a DVD in the drive but it still wouldn't allow me to Launch the DVD.

With all that being said I am wondering if the XBOX is not reading the burned discs I put in because they are the wrong media, wrong booktype or just because they are +R's. And also I am wondering if Retail DVD Movies won't play because the software needed to play them is on the Auto Installer Deluxe 3.0 disc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. - The Disc ID is PRODISC-R05-01 if that helps any.

Post subject: Excuse Me for Explaining My Problem Exactly
Reply with quote

The guide that came with Auto Installer Deluxe 3.0 simply stated that if any problems were experienced to ask in this forum. I may not be an expert at this but I explained my problems exactly as they happened so if any support was given it would be easier to do so knowing the exact problem. And if you can't help me or put forth postive comments why bother posting at all.

So you have tested with a original DVD movie yet or music cds ? It may be the brand of disk your using, the dvd drives can be a bit picky.

oh wait lol, you cant play movies unless you got dvd dongle free installed or XBMC, I guess you would have to ftp over the apps to test if it will read dvd movies.

But im still thinking its just the media you burned to, I would go out and buy some Memorex DVD Rs to test.
