OK Seagate said they were going to ship me a 400gb HDD today. Because of all the crap I have been havnig with there product and company. But Wow 300gbs was one of the largest HDD I have seen in the box....Would a 400gb cause a ton of problems with my xbox and playing backup games and stuff or should I be ok?? Old masters please help me in finding this out? Also is there maybe a way to make a E, F, G, H drives??

FATx partition sizes can be a problem but as long as you set the drive up for partition 6 & 7 (F & G) then the partition sizes should be manageable

Yeah thats how my first one crashed I think...I had all 300gb (or whats left after the other drives in F drive....but can't you only put like 150 in F and then the rest dumps in G?? then G would almost be as big as the old F drive that kicked the can?

yes F will take up to 137GB and G will take the rest (about 240-250GB). Sadly the FATx file system wasnt designed for large HDD's (same as the old DOS FAT filesystem. Not surprising as FATx is based on FAT. Only FAT32, the later Windows filesystem would address HDD's larger than 8GB).

Set your BIOS to to give F up to 137, and G will get the rest. Use UnleashX or AID(same thing) to format your G and F drives and you laughing.

Ok maybe I am not really getting my point across....I had about 250 gb in one drive (F) this is what most likely caused my HDD to died. So yup the next step I did what get new bios and fix that problem so it will not happen again. But if they mail me a 400gb then bam 140 gb goes to (F) and this is my main fear I will have 250 gb (G) in one drive yet again. Will this much space in one drive cause my data to be fubared up and cause yet another HDD and another month of my life wasted waiting for this crappy company to backup there product. Thats my point and the question I need answered. Its like wow I am getting 400gb...but I will be in the same boat as before with G instead of F?? Does that make sence of should I just go play in traffic??

If there was a problem with a partition being that size, the file system might corrupt, but that would not and could not physically break the drive.

2 Terabytes (2000gig) is the most an xbox can handle.
