hi everyone, i have a modded xbox with xecuter 2.6 chip, my friend has a softmodded xbox that is showing error 16, i just want to know that if i take my chip and put it in his xbox will i be able to sort his box ie get his dashboards back, then put the chip back in my box without any major problems arising, thanks in advance for any advice

Well even if its soldered, you can still do it. I once had to do the exact same thing, when I used the Ltools softmod on a friends xbox. It was weird, because it was running fine, then he tried to boot up the next afternoon, and no-go, it had an error code.
I removed my X3, soldered another pin header into my mates xbox(instead of pulling mine out) soldered D0 wire, and popped in the chip. Then booted up AID, formatted C drive, and re-installed MS dash. All good after that (it even remained stock for a while...)
A couple of months later, i flashed the TSOP, and its still running strong today _________________

hi guys thanks for the response but we were knackered before we began, my box is a v1.6 and my mates is a v1.1, my solderless xapter and xecuter mod chip can only be used in a 1.6, he is now going to purchase a suitable chip, again thanks
