have you already softmodded your xbox?
If so you can simply ftp chimp over to the apps folder on e, and then run that, as long as it loads correctly it will step you along the way,
the basic instructions are:
open the xbox up,
take out the dvd ribbon cable,
get a molex splitter,
connect the splitter to the xbox power connector and to the new hard drive,
then plug the dvd ribbon cable back in enough to get a connection but easy enough to swap to the hew hard drive,
put something that will insulate the hard drive from touching the metal on the dvd drive (mouse pad works great),
turn the xbox on,
load the chimp application and it will ask what you want to do,
tell it to copy your hard drive,
it will step you along the way,
unplug the dvd,
plug the new hard drive in,
copy the files (done by the program)
lock the new drive.
That's basically the steps, just have to take the old hard drive out now, and replace it with the new one. _________________

I'm not sure if it's in AID 3, I'm pretty sure it's not in AID 2, hold on and I'll look, what you do with AID is burn it to a disk, then run that disk in your xbox, you don't have to ftp it at all, it installs from the disk to your xbox.
As far as I can tell neither AID 2 nor 3 have chimp as an application, however you can easily download it from here:
EDIT: I just talked to DJB and he said it is under tools on AID 3, it can also be installed as an application, so just burn AID3 to a disk, and pop that in your xbox and then follow my small tutorial. Just pop the disk in, go to tools, and run chimp from the disk, that would be the easiest way. _________________
