Hi,
I just got AID 3 and it looks awesome! My question is if you need to mod(softmod) your box before you use it, then how come softmod installers come included in the package?
Can you boot the disc on a retail xbox, somehow run SID from the AID menu, and then install dashboards, apps, etc...
- just wondering

yes you need to have your xbox modded in some way , either softmod or chip. since you got aid 3 just drag the zip files to your action replay kit $30 drag both the linux and the game save exploit ( 2 files) and then coldboot 1 of the 3 exploitable games . _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

Oh, I see- so the purpose of including the SID files with AID package is to be able to pull them out on your pc, softmod your box, and then run AID to customize to taste.
Is that right?

Yes- i can softmod with no problems. I've been using SID 2 and it's been treating me pretty well. I haven't softmodded a box with SID 3 yet but I'm thinking of trying it out along with AID 3.

sid 3 blocks xbox live . use sid 4.5 for xbox live and the sid 4.0 and 4.5 are really awesome they have soo many good protection features. and it has a dual boot funtion which means it can load 2 dash boards ... 1 can be hacked dash modded mode and the other can be ms dash retail mode . so you can play xbox live with out uninstalling your softmod.
and you dont get ban since all your files are retail , i have a 200gb maxtor hd wiith xbox live and i never got ban for over 7 months . _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

That's cool, is sid 3 just as easy as sid 2 to install? I noticed with aid 3 you can install dashboards as apps and run them with x select. I guess that's different than the dual boot option you described in sid 4/4.5.

lol x select is a muti loader thats neat but i just perfer dual boot .
sid 4 is very easy .... and heres 1 cool feature, lets say usualy you get an error code for messing up a softmod well guess what sid 4 or 4.5 will not give you a code insted it will fix it easily.
2nd thing : this is another good thing say you wanna install the softmod and it will not allow you to install it unless you have created your ms back up and your eeprom backup WHICH IS GOOD because this is a security mesure
its not complicated but very easy u'd be suprised so check out aid 3

one last question- if I uninstall my softmod back to retail to proceed with sid 4, will I lose my data on my F and G partitions(200 GB Maxtor)?
