If you notice up at the top of this page we have a network of sites. http://www.cxboxtool.xbox-hq.com/ is a tool that some members made and you can use this to extract the iso. I would try to use this program to make sure that you can extract the iso correctly. Also how much free space do you have? I would recommend atleast 1-2GB free when trying to update the ISO. _________________

Also when you say it freezes, how long are you giving it? It could just be a pause for a few minutes, I know on my AMD 64 3400+ system it seems to take ~30min-1hr to update, I didn't time it. I just noticed it was finished about that much time later. _________________

I have a AMD Athlon 64 3200+, I didn't let it sit cause my music was playing, it kept playing 3 sec of the song over and over agian so I shut it down, so I should just let it "perqulate"?

then kill all programs running then update the iso, that probably explains the freezing _________________

Yeah I'd just give it about 30min or so to see if it goes on, my music skipped a few times while extracting, but it resumed shortly after, the updater tool just seems to take a lot of resources. _________________

Great, so what was the problem? Just impatience or something else that you found? _________________

A little bit of both, there wasn't alot of room on the hard drive and I had a lot of programs running, but I didn't let it sit like I should have, I think I'm the only one to have this problem........sad.
