it wont work i have followed loads of tuts and i cant find any reson for it not to work, ok here is my problem
i load up SP and run linx
then do ms back up and eprom
then install softmod (nklave dual boot)
then switch it off and sometimes i get error 21
and sometimes i get flashing leds red green orange please help its annoying and now i get az stupid updating xbox when i unistall the softmod and wont let me on m$ dash please help me

What you need to do is load the xbox w/o splinter cell in there and it will back the softmod up again and load it without a hitch. You have to make sure to reboot with no disc in the tray. _________________ Moddingbandit

Moddingbandit i got a question for ya, the xbox of my friend wont save the time settings. Everytime when i boot up the xbox it asks for the time.
Any ideas?
Btw i succesfully hotswapped the HDD hehe. Its too easy. How do people figure this stuff out.

Yes if you are using the latest SID files, then all you have to do is the in game reset option. When the clock thing shows up, your LED light should be red. If it isnt boot it up to softmod mode. Then, while it is red and the clock is showing, just press and hold the 2 trigger buttons and start and se;ect a;; at the same time. It will boot back to the softmodded dashboard. _________________ Moddingbandit

tryed that way w/o splinter cell in the tray and nothing just get the updating xbox thing
SP = splinter cell no mod chip (to scared and no cash)
erm i had the retail dash what came with the xbox
still no luch tryed everything i can think of apart from the right way lol now it wont boot up anything just get the loading screen and my led flashes red/green/orange agan

Looks like you'll have to do a hotswap.
When you put the gamesaves back on, be sure to have both SC gamesaves. One is the linux file and the other will be the NTSC or PAL file(depending on your TV setting...NTSC for North AMerica) _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

ok so i can get the sid page bak up but no evo for some reson anyhelp? and the disk i burnt for AID v3 didnt work any help?

If I may, I'd recommend you use Nero, go to the wizard and tell it to burn an image file at the slowest possible speed then let it work for you.

In the SID menu, install the softmod then the dash. Then reboot to see if it went ok.

ok im a noob!! i dont know what im doing and u just saying install the softmod then the dash does not help lol there are 2 diff softmod opptions and countless other options please help

IF you have SID3.1
1. make the m$dash and eeprom back up
2. install the softmod - dual boot (hacked dash/m$dash)
3. install EvoX dash
4. patch m$dash
Basically go down the softmod menu
If you have SID4x
1. make the m$dash and eeprom back up
2. install the softmod - dual boot (hacked dash/m$dash)
Let it go through the set up process
Note: For the dual boot you need the latest m$dash (5960)
If you will be doing the hotswap, it will load the 5960 dash _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS
