Hey I have just joined up to this site and was wondering if I could get some help with softmodding my xbox, I have seen quite a few different guides on the net but they all have different ways of doing it so im pretty confused. First of all I have a xbox usb connector that plugs in to usb on PC, I dont really want to get AR would rather buy a memory card or USB pen, which would be the best? Is there one easy to follow guide that I could use without the confusion? Thanks for any help

1st, this adaptor you have, what exactly does it do? Does it allow you to connect your Xbox controller to the PC, or does it convert your Xbox controller ports(on the Xbox) to be a standard USB? _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!

All it does is let me plug my xbox controller into PC doesnt let me plug USB device into Xbox

I would buy a memory card, it's imo much easier. You don't have to find a compatible usb stick, which can be a pain. _________________ XBOX V1.4

Just buy a memory card. If you are wanting to do a flash drive you will need to come up with an adapter to connect reg, USB to your Xbox. They are a pain to make, or you have to get them off the Internet.
So, just get a memory card and I'll help you get things set up. _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!

I would recommend going to a GameCarzy or some other game store(pawn shops too.) and get a used Microsoft Msmory card for $15. _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!

OK, I figured i'd just post a reply then start a new thred, so:
I just softmoded my xbox and using EVOX. Now i'm only a n00b to mods, so i'm asking, is there sumpthing i can do 2 play xbox live w/o getting banned, i havent connected to xbl yet, i got 2 accounts on it and i want 2 know if there is something i can ftp to it or anything, also, i'd probly need help installing and runing it 2..

If you install the dual boot option available from SID 4.5 then yes.
It would allow you to boot retail or softmodded during the power up sequence. Just a side note, don't ever allow your games to sign in to live automatically or it will try one day while you are in the modded state and bam.... ban hammer time. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Ok, sounds good, now, where can i get this and how do i install and then work it? also, if i wanted to play a moded costom game on Pluto, (I dont mod matchmaking), how would i do this? I'v seen people do this with softmods. Also, the SID, is it one of those vip only things?

First things first.
Go to this thread and snag AID 3 since it has the softmodder inside it and you'll most likely want the tools that are in there too, then we can go through the what's and where's.
